Current results have now been presented to the public at a press conference by the study partner ÖVGW. The most important results at a glance: Austrians are very satisfied with the quality of the drinking water (school grade: 1.6). Over the years, the respondents also feel better and better informed about their drinking water, but more than one in three still needs information. The Austrians would like to be better informed, especially when it comes to the composition and purity of the drinking water. Hardly anyone in Austria knows the exact water price. Nevertheless, satisfaction with the price is high and as many as 15% find it "rather low". The currently emotionally debated topic of privatization of the water sector, on the other hand, is clearly rejected and rejected by the population due to feared quality losses or price increases.
