EU: Drink more tap water

According to Right2Water, there are quality problems with drinking water for 20 million people in Europe. Last year, the EU Commission therefore submitted proposals for a revision of the drinking water directive, which is around 20 years old. This provides for a better supply and access to tap water is also to be improved. Improving information on water quality and services for consumers aims to increase the consumption of drinking water. In addition, new building regulations are intended to push back pollutants from pipes.
